Marilyn Sue Gilbert

Marilyn Sue Gilbert was born February 23, 1954 in Atlanta, GA the daughter of the late James and Lucille Rogers Granger.

She was united in marriage to Charles (Chuck) Gilbert on April 3, 1976. They met while working in a grocery store together - she was a cashier, and he was her bag boy.

Marilyn worked as an accountant for the Georgia Department of Corrections for approximately 25 years. After retirement she and Chuck moved to Ramer where they spent the last four years living for each other and doing everything together. In her free time, she enjoyed playing games on her phone and tablet, motorcycle riding with her husband, boating, and fishing. Marilyn was a member of the United Daughters of the Confederacy.

Marilyn departed this life on October 22, 2025 in Corinth, Mississippi at the age of 71 Years, 7 Months, 29 Days. She is survived by her husband of almost 50 years, Charles (Chuck) Gilbert of Ramer, TN; a son, Charles Gilbert, Jr. and wife Sherry of Duluth, MN; a daughter, April Geirman and husband Robbie of Houston, TX; four grandchildren: Hudson Gilbert, Sam Gilbert, Cole Geirman, and Jesse Geirman; and many extended family and friends.

In addition to her parents, Marilyn was preceded in death by her siblings.

A Celebration of Life will be scheduled at a later date.
