Marion Scott

Eli Marion Scott, Jr. was born on March 22, 1935, the son of Eli Marion, Sr. and Ruth Smith Scott, who preceded him in death. On January 24, 1959, he was united in marriage to Doris Jean Russell, who survives.

Mr. Scott lived in Hardin County all of his life where he was employed by Clayton Homes as a Maintenance Supervisor, for over twenty years and attended the Church of the Nazarene in Savannah, Tennessee. He was also a trader, carpenter, electrician and he remodeled houses. He enjoyed spending time and playing with his grandchildren.

Mr. Scott departed this life on February 26, 2014, at Hardin Medical and Rehabilitation Center at the age of 78 years, 11 months and 4 days.

In addition to his wife, Doris Scott of Savannah, Tennessee, he is survived by two sons, Rickey Scott and his wife, Patty of Savannah, Tennessee and Quentin Scott, also of Savannah; four grandchildren, Tasha Scott, Crystal Bennett, Alex Scott, and Amanda Whitlock; six great-grandchildren, Brana Bennett, Kailey Bennett, Macy Fralix, Kaelyn Fralix, Ayden Fralix and Ava Brooke Whitlock; and one brother, Meredith Scott of Killen, Texas.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter-in-law, Margaret Ann Scott; one sister, Nellie Rinks, and four brothers, Thomas Scott, Cecil Scott, Lloyd Scott and Ernest Scott.
