MARION STOUT

Henderson, TN: Marion Lee Stout age 83, passed away September 1, 2026, at St. Thomas Hospital Mid-town in Nashville.

He was born March 11, 1943, in the Logan’s Lake Community of McNairy County, the son of the late Gilbert May and Bertha Juanita McBride Stout. He worked in factory work, on a river boat, in construction, and as a truck driver in the oil fields in Texas. He moved back to Chester County in 1984 and worked at Nash Trucking and Murray Guard, retiring in 2007.

He loved spending time with his dog Oreo.

Mr. Stout is survived by a son, Timothy Daryl Stout of Finger and siblings; Ray Stout of Bethel Springs, Frank Stout of Jackson, Ronnie Stout of Henderson, Betty Burris of Lexington, Lettie Fussell of Henderson, Betty Baggett of Bethel Springs and Teresa Ley of Milan, granddaughters, Gena Stout Rogers (Robert) and Lydia Stout, and great granddaughters, Randi Martin, Caylee Simpson, Brianna Rogers, and great grandson, Destin Rogers.

He was predeceased by his parents, a long-time friend Shirley Jean Holder, a son Randy Lee Stout, and siblings Jimmy Gilbert Stout, Charlie Ray Stout, Paul David Stout, and Sandra Kay Ayers.

Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Friday, September 4th at Shackelford Funeral Directors – Crook Avenue with burial to follow at Old Friendship Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at Crook Avenue, 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM Thursday, and 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM service time on Friday.
