Marjorie Ann Falls Smith was born on August 10, 1935 in Savannah, Tennessee, the daughter of the late Hershel Hiram and Lillie Mae Porter Falls.
She was a member of Sharon Baptist Church for many years where she taught Sunday School, led GA's, and served as Sunday School Secretary. In her later years, she was a member at Mount Hermon Baptist Church. She was Deputy Register of Deeds at the Hardin County Courthouse where she worked for many years until she retired. She was a Girl Scout leader and helped with the boy scouts. She was an excellent seamstress. She enjoyed crocheting, quilting, traveling, and spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchild.
Marjorie Ann Falls Smith departed this life on April 14, 2017 in Savannah, Tennessee at the age of 81 years, 8 months, 4 days.
She is survived by her daughters, Danette Blackwelder (Greg) and Ellana Wilson; grandchildren, Grant Lumpkin (Amber), Thomas Smith, Adam Arnold, and Timothy Smith; step grandchildren, Dakota Gastineau and Brenton Blackwelder; and great grandchild, Olivia Lumpkin.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a son, Eddie Smith; daughter, Pamela Ann Smith; brothers, Jones Falls and Robert Falls; and sisters, Inez Lewis, Ruth Shelby, and Jackie Hamm.
