DAWSON JARRETT

Henderson, TN: Mark Dawson Jarrett, age 18, passed away April 9, 2026, as a result of injuries sustained in an automobile accident.

He was born in Jackson, TN September 4, 2007, and raised in Henderson, TN by his parents Mark and Audra Jarrett. He was a senior at Chester County High School.

Dawson was a member of the FFA and enjoyed being in welding class. He also enlisted in the USMS Poolee Program and was scheduled to enter Bootcamp on August 28, 2026.

He was spending his Saturdays working at the Chester County COOP but when he was able, he enjoyed fishing and riding his Palamino horse, Ruby.

Dawson was kindhearted and helpful to others and was a friend to all who knew him.

His German Shepherd, Leo and Redbone Coon Hound, Ann were his beloved pets. He also enjoyed raising chickens and had a favorite rooster, Wee-Man.

Dawson is survived by his parents Mark and Audra Jarrett of Pinson; three brothers, Mason Jarrett of Savannah, TN, Colton Canfield of Virginia Beach, VA and Dalton Canfield (Cheyenne) of Jefferson, OH; and sister, Shyann Jarrett of Savannah, TN.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Aurora Jarrett.

Funeral services will be 7:30 PM Monday April 13, 2026, at Shackelford Funeral Directors – Crook Avenue Chapel with Pastor Michael Gibbs officiating.

The family will receive friends at Crook Avenue on Monday from 4:30 until 7:30 PM service time.
