Marlee Desha Cox

Marlee Desha Cox touched the lives of many during her time on this earth. Born on October 25, 2002, in Columbia, TN to Marvin David Cox and Lesa Skaggs Keener, Marlee's kind spirit and gentle soul shone brightly throughout her short but meaningful life.
 
While pursuing her dreams of becoming a nurse, Marlee dedicated her days to working as a waitress at Brass Lantern. Her commitment to both her education and her job was a testament to her strong work ethic and determination.
 
Beyond her professional pursuits, Marlee found joy in the simple pleasures of life. Dancing, listening to music, shopping for treasures, traveling to new places, exploring the world around her, and gazing up at the endless sky.
 
On May 25, 2024, in Nashville, TN, Marlee Desha Cox departed this world at the young age of 21. Although she may no longer walk among us, her memory will live on in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Marlee is survived by her Son, Coleson Berry; mother, Lesa Skaggs Keener (David); father, Marvin David Cox; fiancé, Patton Berry; brother, Ayden; sisters, Haven Jones, and Brandy Cox; grandparents, Jimmy and Gloria Skaggs, Sue Rich Cox; aunts, Ginger Shaw, and Laura Strickland; uncle, Jimmy William Skaggs II; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

She is preceded in death by her grandparent, and David Cox.

Visitation will be held at Shackelford of Collinwood on Friday, May 31, 2024 from 12:30 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. with the Funeral service to follow at 2:00 p.m. with Brother Tim

Interment will be at the Lawrence County Memorial Gardens in Lawrenceburg, TN.
