Marlin "Bubba" Hardin was born on September 17, 1963 in Corinth, Mississippi, the son of the late John Everett Hardin and Shirley Juanita Briggs Scott.
Mr. Hardin spent most of his adult life working as a truck driver. He did cross country driving. The last few years, he hauled logs and cross ties. He also escorted trailers for Clayton Home for a few years. Marlin's parents and grandparents ran Briggs Tobacco on Water Street in Savannah, Tennessee for 50 years.
Marlin "Bubba" Hardin departed this life on December 13, 2024 in Savannah, Tennessee at the age of 61 years, 2 months, and 26 days.
He is survived by his brother, Mike Hardin; sister, Romona Casteel and her husband Darren; niece, Abigail Mowdy; nephews, Jade Smith and Ryker Casteel; great nieces, BriggsLee Casteel and Jayden Gail Casteel; and great nephew, John-ren Mowdy. He is also survived by his life partner of 25 years, Deborah Austin and her son, Donald Austin and grandsons, Ashton Austin and Aden Austin.
In addition to his parents, Marlin was preceded in death by his brother, Maurie Neil Hardin and great niece, Emma-Kate Christine Casteel.
