Marry (Polly) Benson

MARRY (POLLY) BENSON

was born in Hardin County, Tennessee on May 5, 1931 the daughter of the late J. A. and Mamie Pickens Highland.

On April 20, 1946 she was united in marriage to Earl Benson, who preceded his wife in death on May 10, 2015.

Mrs. Benson was a homemaker and was a member of Savannah Church of Christ. She loved flowers, reading, listening to gospel music, and watching channel 10. Most of all, Mrs. Benson loved spending time with her children and grandchildren.

She departed this life January 7, 2017 in Savannah, Tennessee, at the age of 85 years, 8 months, and 2 months.

Mrs. Benson is survived by her two children, Bobby Benson and his wife Gloria of Savannah, Tennessee and Misty Jean Moore and her husband Jonathon of Stantonville, Tennessee.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one brother, R. C. Highland and four sisters, Oma Jean Austin, Lola Mae Burcham, Artie Benson, and Agnes Benson.
