Martha Burks

Martha Burks was born August 1, 1924 in McNairy County, Tennessee the daughter of the late Tom and Betty Tate Wigginton.On October 3, 1942 she was united in marriage to A. J. Burks who survives.Mrs. Burks was a machine operator for 5 years at Garan Inc. in Adamsville. She was a member of the West Shiloh Baptist Church in Stantonville, Tennessee.Mrs. Burks departed this life on September 9, 2009 in Selmer, Tennessee at the age of 85 Years, 1 Month, 8 Days. She is survived by her husband A. J. Burks of Stantonville, TN; a grandson, Benny Burks of Selmer, TN; and a brother, Martin Wigginton and wife Mildred of Michie, TN.In addition to her parents, Mrs Burks was preceded in death by a son, Charles Wayne Burks; three sisters, Lucille Wagoner, Clara North, Iva Mae Wallace; and a brother, Larkin Wigginton.
