Martha Jane Carroll

Martha Jane Carroll of Selmer, Tennessee, was born on August 22, 1933, to the late Cord Brooks and Mamie Ray Brooks. She was united in marriage to D. T. Carroll on September 27, 1954. She was a longtime member of Selmer Second Baptist Church. During her lifetime, Mrs. Carroll had worked for the former Farmer's Supply in Selmer and in more recent years as a Caretaker with the McNairy County Developmental Center.Mrs. Carroll passed from this life on Tuesday, December 16, 2008, at her daughter Debbie's home in Booneville, Mississippi, at the age of 75 years, 3 months, and 24 days.Survivors are her husband of 54 years D. T. Carroll of Selmer; her daughter, Debbie Wright and husband Carl of Booneville, Mississippi; her son, Lynn Carroll and wife Janice of Selmer; four grandsons, Darren Smith, Blake Carroll, Josh Wright, and Forrest Wright; a sister, Doris Brooks Smith of Selmer; five great-grandchildren.A host of other relatives and friends.Other than her parents, Mrs. Carroll was also preceded in death by a son Jeff Carroll and two brothers Tom and Ray Brooks.
