Martha Lou Ray Cox was born in Conroe, Texas on July 13, 1942, the daughter of the late Tom Wilson and Lillie Bell Morgan Ray. On August 25, 1960, she was united in marriage to Jimmie Lloyd Cox, who preceded her in death on July 26, 1989. Martha departed this life on June 22, 2020, at the age of 77 years, 11 months, and 9 days.
Martha attended Hollands Creek Methodist Church. She was a homemaker that enjoyed reading and playing games like Dominos, Monopoly, and Aggravation. Martha truly loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, whether it be at cookouts or other family gatherings.
Martha is survived by her daughters, Sandra Collins of Savannah, Tennessee, Judy Morris and husband James of Savannah, Tennessee, Martha Jan Becerra and husband Raul of Savannah, Tennessee, and Wanda Young Smith of Olive Hill, Tennessee; sisters, Vina Brooks and husband Jeff of Tuscumbia, Alabama and Barbara Terry of Florence, Alabama; brother, Rickie Ray and wife Mary of Hernando, Mississippi; nine grandchildren, Amber Standridge, Nathan Collins, Trevor Juelfs, Dillon Juelfs, Raven Becerra, Mason Becerra, Daniel Morris, Ryan Young, and Shana Smith; and eleven great grandchildren, Mitchell, Christen, Zowie, Austin, Abigail, Kara, Brantley, Harper, Kaito, Kyzz'r, and Kylie.
In addition to her husband and parents, Martha was preceded in death by her brothers, Larry Ray, Chester Ray, Leonard Ray, Tommie Armon Ray, and Billy Ray, Sr.
