Martha Loulean Goodwin, age 95 of Henderson, passed away Monday, September 9, 2019 at Southern Oaks Assisted Living Center in Henderson.
She was born and raised in the Hickory Corner Community of Chester County on August 24, 1924, daughter of the late Arlie Monroe and Martha Francis Weaver Russom. She worked in local shirt factories for several years. She married Warren Goodwin on June 1, 1944 and they had been married 67 years when he died in 2011. She was a member of Enville Baptist Church and enjoyed gardening, sewing and quilting.
She is survived by two sons, Danny Goodwin (Janice) of Jacks Creek, Lynn Goodwin (Sandra) of Enville; a daughter, Pamela Goodwin Young (Jeff) of Enville; a brother Granville Russom and a sister Carolyn Armour both of Henderson; six grandchildren Richard Goodwin (Wonda), Molly McClanahan (Bert), Michael Goodwin (Mary), Stacy Goodwin (Lesley), Stephen Goodwin (Kimberly) , Heather Crumley (Champ); 12 great grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a brother Guy Russom and a sister Cardell Young.
