Martha Jane Meek

Martha Jane Thurmond Meek was born April 13, 1921 in Roanoke, Texas the daughter of the late Cournal Falkner Thurmond and the late Sara Lee Eunice Blankenship Thurmond Lancaster.She was united in marriage to James Russell Meek who preceded her in death on March 1, 1996.Mrs. Meek was a garment factory worker. She was a member of the Good Hope Baptist Church in Adamsville, Tennessee where she was a member of the Good Hope Baptist Ladies group. She was also a member of the Adamsville Senior Citizens Club and a past community volunteer.She departed this life on February 15, 2007 in Savannah, Tennessee at the age of 85 Years, 10 Months, 2 Days. Mrs. Meek is survived by two sons, Tommy Meek and Timothy Meek both of Adamsville, Tennessee; a brother, J. E. Thurmond of Ripley, Mississippi; 5 Grandchildren and 2 Great Grandchildren.
