Henderson: Martha Louise Parsons Rowland, age 82, died Monday morning at the Chester County Healthcare.
Mrs. Rowland was born and reared in McNairy County, the daughter of the late William Preston and Martha Sue Campbell Parsons. She had lived in the Bolivar area most of her life.
She is survived by two daughters; Carolyn Marie Dishmann of Manhattan, Kansas and Thelma Louise Clark of Lakeland, Florida, 7 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren, a brother Buddy Parsons of Henderson and a sister Evelyn Brigman of Brighton.
She was preceded in death by four sisters; Reathel Rowland, Geneva Newman, Lona Ree Simpson, and Geraldine Curtis and two brothers James Arvin Parsons and Vernon Parsons and nine half brothers and sisters.
Funeral services will be 11:30 Thursday at Shackelford – Casey Chapel with Ben Flatt officiating and burial will follow at Cave Springs Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at Casey Chapel beginning 10:30 am Thursday.
