Mrs. Galloway passed away Tuesday afternoon at Bolivar General Hospital.
The wife of Cleo Galloway, who survives, she was a homemaker and previously worked at Kilgore. Mrs. Galloway was born May 28, 1928 in Hardeman County to the late John W. Toms and Dora Burnette Toms and lived most of her life here. She was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church and enjoyed cooking, gardening, and staying busy.
In addition to her husband, whom she married June 28, 1999, she is survived by two sons, John Larry Russell and Jimmy L. Russell, both of Middleton; a step-daughter, Betty Ray of Bolivar; a sister, Nila McAlpin of Saulsbury; two brothers, J.W. Toms of Lawton OK, Cecil "Pete" Toms of Rogers Springs; two sisters-in-law, Arlene Toms of Bailey, MS, Loretta of Olive Branch, MS; 5 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; and one great great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her first husband, John C. Russell, who died August 10, 1991; a son, Alan Lynn Russell, who died March 21, 1985; and two brothers, Billy and Joe Toms.
