MARTHA SMITH STANFILL
was born in Chester County, Tennessee on February 14, 1920 the daughter of the late James E. and Hattie Flatt Smith.
On December 23, 1934 she was united in marriage to Bynum Stanfill, who preceded his wife in death on December 31, 1976.
Mrs. Stanfill was a homemaker. She spent most of her life in Hardin County, but had lived in McNairy County and Chester County. Mrs. Stanfill was a member of River Heights Pentecostal Church for 40 plus years. Proverbs 31: 30, 31 - Favor is deceitful, and beauty is vain: but a woman that feareth the Lord, she shall be praised. Give her of the fruit of her hands; and let her own works praise her in the gates.
Mrs. Stanfill departed this life on August 20, 2011 in Savannah, Tennessee at the age of 91 years, 6 months and 6 days.
She is survived by 5 daughters, Liz Taylor of Jackson, Tennessee, Velma Robinson, Edna Browder and Barbara Taylor, all of Savannah, Tennessee and Janet Robertson of Adamsville, Tennessee.

20 grandchildren, 12 step grandchildren, 37 great grandchildren, 13 great great grandchildren and one foster granddaughter.
In addition to her parents and her husband, she was also preceded in death by 3 daughters, Fredda Stanfill, Oleta McLemore and Linda Cook, 2 sons, Earl Stanfill and Tommy Joe Stanfill, 6 sisters, Artie Mae Marshall, Audrey Wilson, Eva Cummings, Ruth Duke, Nola Proctor and Willie Creamer, one grandchild, Darlene Blankenship and one great grandchild, Kimberly Browder.
