Jackson, TN: Martha Sue Woody Waldrop age 90 passed away March 10, 2019 at Crestview Healthcare & Rehabilitation at Brownsville, TN.
She was born August 4, 1928 in the Mifflin Community of Chester County, the daughter of the late Bonnie Ferris and Flossie Mae Adcock Woody. She went to school in Mifflin and graduated Chester County High School 1947. She married Robert Charles Waldrop of Pinson in 1951. They made their home in Henderson. She loved quilting and gardening, of vegetables and roses. She worked a few years at Oakfield Fashions and Mid-South Textile. She was a member of the Oakfield Baptist Church.
Mrs. Waldrop is survived by two sons, Barry Waldrop and Keith Waldrop (Cindy) all of Jackson; three grandchildren; two great grandchildren and a brother, Larry Woody of Henderson.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Melvin Woody and Joe Perry Woody.
Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Wednesday at Shackelford Funeral Directors – Crook Avenue with Micky Jackson officiating. Burial will follow in Henderson City Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at Crook Avenue beginning at 9:00 AM Wednesday morning.
