Marty Glen Mitchell, 69, of Bethel Springs, Tennessee, passed away peacefully at home on May 30, 2026. Born July 29, 1956, in Jackson, Tennessee, Marty was the beloved son of Bobbie Ann Young (Latta) and Forrest Glen Mitchell.

Marty loved his family and his church family deeply. He was an avid race fan who lived for the track. He had his own race car for many years and believed in going fast. Car, motorcycle, or Shetland pony, it didn’t matter to Marty as long as it had some speed. That passion, and his big heart, were just part of who he was.

He was devoted to his cousins and cherished every moment with family.

Marty was preceded in death by his parents, Bobbie Ann and Glen, and by his sister, Deborah Pina Mitchell.

He leaves behind his daughter, Lori McCauley; his son, Ben Mitchell; and his stepsister, Whitney Huggins. He will surely be missed by all who knew him.
