Mary Bess Abernathy

Mary Bess Abernathy was born November 18, 1918 in McNairy County, TN the daughter of the late Terry and Addie Darby Abernathy. She departed this life on February 12, 2012 in Selmer, Tennessee at the age of 93 Years, 2 Months, 25 Days.Miss Abernathy was a member of Selmer First Christian Church. She was a homemaker and a longtime member of the Argonaut Book Club.Surivors are her nephew, Terry Abernathy and wife Anne of Selmer, TN; three great nieces, Paige Abernathy Hill and husband Travis of Nashville, TN, Darby Abernathy Farmer and husband Jason of Memphis, TN, Mary Cille Heehs and husband Chris, also of Memphis; a great nephew, Lee David Wilds of Nashville.In addition to her parents, Miss Abernathy was preceded in death by a brother, Will Terry Abernathy, and a niece Mary Jane Wilds.
