Mary Ann Brown

Mrs. Mary Ann Woods Brown departed this life on Monday, December 18, 2017 at Wayne Medical Center in Waynesboro, Tennessee at the age of 81 Years, 2 Months, 10 Days. She was born October 8, 1936 in Wayne County, TN the daughter of the late Tom H. and Myrtle Marie Casteel Woods.

She was united in marriage to Elvis Lee Brown Sr. on June 26, 1953. Mr. Brown preceded her in death on March 15, 2017.

Mrs. Brown was a retired factory worker and a member of the Calvary Baptist Church in Waynesboro, Tennessee.

She is survived by sons, Elvis Lee Brown Jr., Tullahoma, TN., and Myron Lane Brown, Enterprise, AL., daughters, Shirley Diane Brown and Connie Frances Patterson both of Waynesboro, TN., 6 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, brother, Tom Woods Jr., Hohenwald, TN., sisters, Dorothy Ellen Boyd, Waynesboro, TN, Linda Sue Connelly, Columbia, TN., and Rebecca Ann Garrison, Hohenwald, TN.; nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Brown was preceded in death by brother, Hassell Junior Woods, sisters, Lucille Marie Thrasher and Virginia Nell Pevahouse.

Services will be held on Thursday, December 21, 2017 at 2:00 PM at Shackelford Funeral chapel in Waynesboro, Tennessee, with Keith Cagle and H.H. Hurst officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Gardens, Waynesboro, Tennessee with Shackelford Funeral Directors in charge of the arrangements.

Visitation will be on Thursday, December 21, 2017, 10:30 am until service time @ Shackelford Funeral Home, Waynesboro.
