Mary Kathleen Cummings Burleson

Mary Kathleen Cummings Burleson of Collinwood departed this life on Saturday, October 24, 2015 at Savannah Health Care and Rehabilitation in Savannah, Tennessee at the age of 77 Years, 22 Days. She was born October 2, 1938 in Savannah, TN, the daughter of the late Arthur and Zada Belle Murphy Cummings and granddaughter of the late Jerry W. and Molly J. Lutts Cummings and Henry and Minnie Murphy. She was married to Joel Burleson October 6, 1962 and he preceded her in death January 24, 2010. Mrs. Burleson was retired from Kay Windsor Manufacturing and was a member of the Church of God.

She is survived by sons, David Ray Frazier of Clifton, TN, Ricky Neal Frazier, Ronald Keith Burleson and wife Delesea, and Chad Dewayne Gaston and wife Lindsey, a daughter, Kellie Nichole Brewer and husband Nathaniel all of Collinwood, TN, a grandson, Thomas Keith Burleson and wife Samantha, five great grandchildren, Maicee Cierra Burleson, Chloey Madison Daniel, Natalee Brewer, Emerson Case Brewer, Brinlee Pearl Gaston, two brothers, J. C. Cummings of Dallas, TX and John Thomas Cummings of Savannah, TN, two sisters, Charlyne Franks and Lillian Franks both of Savannah, TN, several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Emery Brewer and a brother Silas Cummings.

Services will be Wednesday, October 28, 2015 at 1:00 PM at Shackelford Funeral Directors Chapel in Collinwood with Richard Bane officiating. Burial will follow in the McCall Cemetery near Collinwood with Shackelford Funeral Directors in charge of arrangements. Visitation will be Tuesday from 6:00-9:00 PM and Wednesday from 10:00 AM until service time at the funeral home.

Pallbearers are David Hill, Gerald Wilkerson, Tim Franks, Wayne Wilkerson, Scotty Cummings, and Tony Cummings.
