Mary Katherine Caldwell

Mary Katherine Dillard Caldwell, 91, passed away on September 5,

2012.



She was preceded in death by her husband Boyd, parents James

and Hattie Dillard, and siblings Joe Dillard and Louise Miller. She

is survived by her daughter Benita Kay Caldwell Gateley (Royce)

and her son Billy Boyd Caldwell (JoAnne); grandchildren Amanda

Lane (Justin), Rhonda Gateley, Jeff Gateley (Danielle), Wade

Caldwell (Heather), Joy White (Jason), Rebekah Caldwell, and Laura

Caldwell; and great-grandchildren Joshua, Aaron, and Jacob Lane,

Drake and Kennedy Caldwell, and Addison and Mason White. She

is survived by sisters Margie Dillard Vales (Jerry) and Lillie Robertine

Dillard Cavazos and by numerous nieces and nephews.



She was born in Hardeman County and graduated from Bolivar

Central High School. She spent most of her adult life in Memphis

and attended Charjean Baptist, Lamar Heights Baptist, and Union

Avenue Baptist. She was a ward clerk in the Pediatric Acute

Observation Unit at LeBonheur Children’s Hospital and was

employee of the year in 1976. Mary Katherine shared her love for

Jesus freely with everyone she met. Her faith in God was a shining

example for everyone to see. She was a member of Beech Grove

Baptist Church in Louisville, Tennessee.
