Mary Louise Martin Davis of Waynesboro, TN was born June 13, 1939 in Waynesboro, Tennessee, the daughter of the late Cecil Edward and Lena Harville Martin. She was united in marriage to J. C. Davis on March 19, 1955 and he preceded her in death on May 6, 2009.
Mrs. Davis was a retired cook at Waynesboro Headstart and attended the Full Gospel House of Prayer in Waynesboro, Tennessee.
Mrs. Davis departed this life on Wednesday, September 29, 2010 at her daughter's home in Waynesboro, Tennessee at the age of 71 Years, 3 Months, 16 Days.
She is survived by a son, John Edward Davis and wife, Shelia; a daughter, Teresia Robertson and husband, Robert all of Waynesboro, TN; 9 grandchildren, Valerie Yeiser, Jeremy Davis, Celena Morris, Katrina Mills, Johathan Battles, Brandon Littleton, Justin Littleton, Marshall Robertson, Bailey Robertson; 13 great-grandchildren, Brooke and Jake Morris, Hunter, Gabrielle, Isabelle, and Abigail Davis, Aeryn and Averie Yeiser, Braxton and Braden Littleton, Mason and Andrew Mills, Mary Grace Littleton; a brother, Bobby Martin of Madisonville, TN; three sisters, Helen Butler of Waynesboro, TN, Carolyn Meece of Lenoir City, TN, Barbara Westbrooks of Hermitage, TN; nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Davis was preceded in death by a daughter, Regenia Littleton; a brother, Marvin Martin; a sister, Margie Martin.
Services will be held on Saturday, October 2, 2010 at 10:00 AM at Shackelford Funeral Directors Chapel in Waynesboro, Tennessee, with Greg Eaton and Joseph Wallace officiating. Burial will follow in the Shields Cemetery, Waynesboro, Tennessee, with Shackelford Funeral Directors of Wayne County directing. Pallbearers will be Jeremy Davis, Jonathan Battles, Brandon Littleton, Justin Littleton, Marshall Robertson, Brad Morris, Marlan Mills, Chris Yeiser. Honorary pallbearers will be Hunter, Gabrielle, Isabelle, and Abigail Davis, Jake and Brooke Morris, Mason and Andrew Mills, Braxton and Braden Littleton, Aeryn and Averie Yeiser, Mary Grace Littleton.
Visitation will be Friday, October 1, 2010 from 6 pm to 9 pm and Saturday, October 2, 2010 from 8 am to service time at the funeral home.
