Mary June Reeves Dial

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Mary June Reeves Dial, who departed this life on April 28, 2025, at the age of 93, in her cherished hometown of Collinwood, Tennessee. Born on April 4, 1932, in Wayne County, she was the beloved daughter of the late William Oscar "Bill" and Etta Mae Melson Reeves.

Miss Dial was a dedicated insurance agent, proudly serving with Liberty National for 20 years before retiring. Her commitment to both her work and her community was unwavering, reflected in her active membership at the First Baptist Church in Collinwood.

A remarkable mother to eight children—four sons and four daughters—Mary's love and devotion to her family were evident in all she did. Her culinary talents were legendary, particularly her well-loved dressing, BBQ, and cornbread. She was known for always having a cake in her freezer, and her delicious fruit cake was always favorite. A hardworking kitchen equipped with three ovens was a testament to her passion for cooking, where simple ingredients turned into cherished family meals, often seasoned or accompanied with her favorite condiment - mayonnaise.

Miss Mary found joy in the simple pleasures of life. She was an avid bird watcher, nurtured her vibrant flower garden, and took delight in watching her fish swim gracefully in their aquarium. Her creativity shone through in her sewing, and her home was adorned with beautiful photographs of her family, a visual tapestry of memories that she held dear.

Miss Dial is survived by her three sons: Johnny Dial of Cypress Inn, TN; Robert Dial and his wife Debbie of Collinwood, TN; and Ricky Dial and his wife Lisa of Iron City, TN; two daughters: Brenda Reed and her husband Cleo of Collinwood, TN; and Carol Daniel of Collinwood, TN. Her loving legacy continues through her 15 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren, along with a host of nieces and nephews who will miss her dearly.

In addition to her parents, Miss Dial was preceded in death by a son, Jackie Dial; two daughters, Karen Brewer and Janetta Dial; daughter-in-law, Margaret Ann (Thrasher) Dial; two grandsons, Jeremy Brewer and Colby Bratcher.

As we remember Mary June Reeves Dial, we celebrate a life filled with love, laughter, and countless memories that will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. Her warmth, kindness, and devotion to her family will be profoundly missed but forever cherished.
