Mary Diane Martin

Mary Diane Martin was born on March 5, 1948, in Kansas City, MO. She was the cherished daughter of the late Gilbert Burkeybile and Martha Ann Hudson Shipers.

Her faith as a devoted Catholic was a guiding light for her, bringing her comfort and strength through life's journey. Mary had a joyous spirit and an adventurous heart; she found delight in shopping trips and exploring thrift stores, where each find was a treasure waiting to be discovered. Her love for dressing up and dancing radiated her vibrant personality and brought joy not only to her but to those around her.

Most importantly, Mary had an immeasurable passion for her grandchildren, whose laughter and love filled her heart with happiness. They were her pride and joy, a reflection of her legacy that will continue to shine brightly.

Mary departed this life on June 16, 2025, in Adamsville, Tennessee, at the age of 77 years, 3 months, and 11 days.

She is survived by daughter, Yvonne Nelson and children, Madeline Lacefield and Haley Lacefield; son, Bobby Bray and children, Hunter Dewayne Bray, Megan Ann Bray and her son Legend Bray; son, James Albert Green; and son, Ronald Thomas Green.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Martin was preceded in death by her husband, James Ray Martin; daughter, Michelle Lynn Green; and brother, Allen Burkeybile.
