Mary Sue Dixon

Mary Sue Sherrill Dixon was born November 5, 1944 in Cypress Inn, Tennessee, the daughter of the late Joseph Thomas and Mary Viola Banks Sherrill. She was united in marriage to Buick Dixon on May 14, 1966 and he preceded her in death on January 10, 2005.Mrs. Dixon was a disabled factory worker.She departed this life on Wednesday, December 17, 2008 at Crockett Hospital in Lawrenceburg, Tennessee at the age of 64 Years, 1 Month, 12 Days.In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Dixon was preceded in death by two brothers, Thomas Junior (Bug) Sherrill and Joel Edward Sherrill.She is survived by two daughters, Patricia Luna of Saint Joseph, TN, Linda Rumbaugh of Columbia, TN; a son, Jeffrey Dixon of Iron City, TN; Six grandchildren; a brother, Carvel Sherrill of Prattville, AL; three sisters, Lesbie Ayers of Collinwood, TN, Faye McCurry of Cypress Inn, TN, Dean Mitchell of Montgomery, AL; several nieces and nephews.Services will be held on Saturday, December 20, 2008 at 3:00 PM at Cromwell Crossroads Church in Collinwood, Tennessee, with Greg Eaton, Robert Marks, John E. Banks, and Marvin Morrow officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with Shackelford Funeral Directors of Wayne County directing. Visitation will begin at 5:00 pm on Friday, December 19, 2008 at Cromwell Crossroads Church.
