Mary Ann Hammons departed this life on August 21, 2009 in Bolivar, Tennessee.
The wife of Marc Hammons, who survives, she was a banker for Bank of Bolivar for 34 years. She was born in Hardeman County February 2, 1944 to the late Harold O.White and Lucille Ferrell White. A member of the Bolivar Church of Christ, she enjoyed traveling, was an avid reader, and loved the outdoors. Mrs. Hammons attended 1 year at Freed-Hardeman College and took several courses in banking.
In addition to her husband, whom she married October 30, 1975, survivors include one stepson and his wife, Steve and Shelly Hammons of Bolivar; two stepdaughters and their husbands, Melissa and Randy Gatlin and Jennifer and Bob Sammons; eight step grandchildren, Casey, Chase, and Samantha Hammons, Amanda, Sara, and Brennan Gatlin, and Caroline and Jenna Leigh Sammons.
She was also preceded in death by a step-granddaughter, Nikki Hammons.
