Mary E. Hampton

Mary E. Hampton was born on September 27, 1942 in Adamsville, Tennessee, the daughter of the late Johnnie Juil and Bunnah Ann Phillips Finney.

She was united in marriage to L.C. Hampton, who preceded his wife in death.

Mary always made her family laugh and they enjoyed being around her. She was always handing out her Freedent gum to all her nieces and nephews. She was beautiful, always stylish, full face of makeup, and decked out in great jewelry. Mary always looked great every day. She loved to sing gospel music and had a beautiful singing voice.

Mary E. Hampton departed this life on March 9, 2026 in Savannah, Tennessee, at the age of 83 years, 5 months, and 10 days.

She is survived by her niece, Renee McAdams and her husband Bobby of Savannah, Tennessee; nephews, Johnny Winningham and his wife Jamie of Tyler, Texas and Rickey Winningham and his wife Rene'e of Adamsville, Tennessee; and a host of great nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband and parents, Mary was preceded in death by her sister, Peggy Winningham.
