Mary Lucille Hime departed this life on Saturday, June 4, 2016, at the age of 85 years, 9 months, and 6 days. She was born in Alabama on August 29, 1930, the daughter of the late John and Pearlie Martin Allen. On May 16, 1948, she was united in marriage to W.S. Hime, who preceded her in death on March 15, 2016.
Mary Lucille was a homemaker and a member of the Clifton Revival Center Church. She loved gardening, yard work, and canning. She also enjoyed going to church and going out to eat. But her greatest love was for her family and her little dog, Honey.
She is survived by her daughters, Brenda Copeland and her husband, Phillip, Glenda Short, and Judith Young and her husband, Bruce all of Savannah, Tennessee; grandchildren, Ken Short, Andrea Pyron, Greg Short, Brandi Riley, and Donald Abels; eight great-grandchildren; and a sister, Ruth Hime of Clifton, Tennessee.
In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Buford Allen, John Allen, and Wayne Allen; sister, Pauline Byrum; son-in-law, Kenneth Short; sister-in-law, Peggy Mitchell; and brother-in-law, Sonny Mitchell.
