Mrs. Mary Jane 'Nan' Duley, 90, of Middleton, departed this life Sunday, January 4, 2015 at Bolivar General Hospital.
A native of Lovington, Illinois, she was retired as a mail clerk with Pekin Insurance. She was born March 19, 1924 to the late Floyd William Bandy and Pansy Lee Bandy and lived in Illinois prior to moving here about 28 years ago. She was an avid cook and in her earlier years enjoying painting. Her family states that she loved her family dearly and taking care of her dog and cat. She was a member of Hebron Baptist Church and attended Porters Creek Baptist Church for the last several years.
Survivors include two daughters, Gayle Thornton of Middleton and Susan Goss (Harry) of Pekin, IL; two sisters, Dorcas Deckard (Fred) of Princeville, IL and Nancy Brownfield of Havana, IL; four grandchildren, Jane (Tim) Sikes, Billy (LaDonna) Thornton, Jason Thornton and Joey (Tom) DeVore; five great grandchildren, Jamie (Justin) Young, Jill (Jonathan) Hopkins, Ethan, Dylan and Lauren Thornton; step-greatgrandchild, Reed Sikes; and one great great grandchild, Kallie Thornton. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Kathleen Duley; a sister, Charlotte Braden and a brother, Billy Bandy. The family requests memorials be sent to Porters Creek Baptist Church.
