Henderson, TN: Sue Johnson, age 86, passed away on Friday, May 19th, 2017 at her home.
Sue was born on July 13, 1930 in Henderson, TN, to Brodie and Pearl Coyle. She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, a sister, and her son, Dennis Harold Johnson. Sue was a homemaker and delighted in spending time with her family, gardening, and helping others in the community. She had a strong faith in God, and was a member of Faith Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband of 68 years, Talmo Johnson, of Henderson, TN; her son Tony Tal Johnson and wife Kim of Jackson, TN; her grandchildren, Taylor Lewis Johnson and wife Jenai of Spring Hill, TN; Jordan Tal Johnson and wife Hillary of Jackson, TN; Elizabeth Abington Johnson of Birmingham, AL; and 3 great grandchildren, Graham Lewis and Molly-Anne Johnson of Spring Hill, TN and Peyton Tal Johnson of Jackson, TN. She is also survived by 4 sisters and 1 brother.
Visitation will be from 1:00 - 3:00 on Saturday, May 20th, 2017. A celebration of life service will held following the visitation at 3:00 at Shackelford Funeral Directors - Johnson Chapel in Henderson with Rev. Tracey Snider officiating. Burial will follow at Faith Baptist Church Cemetery.
Taylor Johnson, Jordan Johnson, Benny Pickett, Tex Busby, Don Busby, and Tim Davis, will serve as pall bearers.
Honorary pall bearers are: Jerry Moore, Jerry Gatley, Chuck Davis, Dobber Pickett, Ricky Plunk, and Danny Cherry.
