Mary Ruth Kilburn

Services for Mary Ruth Kilburn will be Monday, August 10, 2009 at 11:00 AM at Shackelford Funeral Chapel in Waynesboro with Leo Doyle officiating. Burial will follow in Shields Cemetery with Shackelford Funeral Directors of Wayne County in charge of arrangements.



Pallbearers will be Doug Frederick, Kevin Majors, Jack Majors, Ted Franks, Greg Reatherford, and Timothy Dudley.



Mrs. Kilburn was born September 18, 1922 in Clifton, Tennessee, the daughter of the late James Ed and Irene Bostic Riley. Mrs. Kilburn departed this life Friday, August 7, 2009 at Wayne Medical Center in Waynesboro at the age of 86 Years, 10 Months, 20 Days. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband John H. Kilburn; three brothers, Floyd Earl Riley, John Wesley Riley, and Edward Riley; and a step-mother, Josephine Riley. A homemaker, she loved music, gardening, and working with children. She was a member of Green River Baptist Church.



She is survived by five children Doris Heidbrink and Linda Nowlin both of Memphis, TN; Cleo Kilburn of Waynesboro, TN, Leo Kilburn and wife Erlene of Florence, AL and Judy McDonald and husband Larry of Waynesboro, TN; 5 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren; two brothers, Jerry Riley of Waynesboro, TN and Tommy Riley of Ocala, FL; two sisters, Reba Dicus of Clifton, TN and Ruby York of Memphis, TN;
