Mary Ruth Matlock

Mary Ruth Crowe Matlock of Humboldt, TN, formerly of McNairy County, departed this life on Sunday, November 8, 2009, at her home at the age of 73 years, 6 months, and 10 days. She was born on April 29, 1936, to the late Jess Hudson and Nellie Ann Hornbuckle Crowe. She was united in marriage to J. C. Matlock who preceded her in death on August 25, 2001. She had worked as a hospital dietician.Survivors are her brother, Robert Earl Crowe, of Humboldt; granddaughter, Tanya Matlock, of Humboldt, and a great-grandchild, Bailey Griggs. Also survived by a host of other relatives and friends.Other than her husband and parents, Mrs. Matlock was preceded in death by a son, James Calvin Matlock, on August 23, 2002. She was also preceded in death by five brothers, Ernest Crowe, John Ross (J. R.) Crowe, Claude (Jim) Crowe, Vernon Crowe, and Everett (Mick) Crowe
