Mary Frances Mays

Mary Frances Mays, age 74 of Hornsby, passed from this life Monday, December 2, 2013 at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital.
Mrs. Mays was born February 1, 1939 in Memphis, Tennessee to the late Ocie V. Gatewood and T. A. Mundling. She grew up and lived in Memphis for over 50 years before moving to Hardeman County. She was united in marriage to Treadwell Leland Mays, Sr., who preceded her in death March 5, 1991. She worked as a homemaker and enjoyed reading, gardening and working puzzles. She was a member of the Rocky Springs Baptist Church near Saulsbury.
Survivors include three daughters, Polly Garcia of Hornsby, Vicki Clifton of Middleton and Patricia Mays of Waterford, Mississippi; three sisters, Harriett Wildman of Nettleton, Mississippi, Clara Gross of Southaven, Mississippi and Shirley Benjamin of Collierville; a brother, James Thomas, Jr. of Mississippi; seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Treadwell Leland Mays, Jr.
