Mary Elizabeth Maroney Mays was born June 8, 1924 in Madison County Tennessee the daughter of the late Sidney Knott and Lucy Taylor Maroney.She was united in marriage to Kenneth Mays in 1947 . Mr. Mays preceded her in death in 2005 .
Mrs. Mays was a Housewife . She also was a retired assistant manager at Cloth World in Memphis for many Years. She was a member of the Deanburg Baptist Church in Deanburg Community of Chester County and Taught Sunday School . She was very active in the Church serving in many capacities.
Mrs. Mays departed this life on September 6, 2009 in Henderson, Tennessee at the age of 85 Years, 2 Months, 29 Days.at the Chester County Health Care.
She is survived by two daughters, Sandra Jean Landers and husband Tommy of Deanburg, Tn, Patricia Ann Rose and husband Larry of Clearwater , Fl, ; two sons, Michael Stewart Mays and wife Dixie of Deanburg, Tn, Danny Joe Mays and wife Betty of Columbus , Ga; a brother, James Maroney of Medon, Tn; a sister, Francis Love of Jackson, Tn; 8 Grandchildren,19 Great Grandchildren,8 Great Great Grandchildren.In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Mays was preceded in death by a brother, Thomas Maroney; a grt-grandchild, Mark David Landers.
