Mary Frances Melsonwas born in Michie, Tennessee on March 19, 1922 the daughter of the late John William and Maggie T. Voyles Smith.On June 14, 1941 she was united in marriage to Johnny David Melson, who preceded her in death on January 13, 2005.Mrs. Melson was a housewife and a member of the First Baptist Church in Savannah, Tennessee.Mrs. Melson departed this life on Sunday, April 24, 2011 at the age of 89 years, 1 month, 5 days.She is survived by a son, Jerry Melson and his wife Sharon of Santa Maria, California.In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Sherrie Lei Melson; 7 sisters, Hazel Lancaster, Jewel Parker, Ruby Hurley, Mamie Jones, Eunice Glidewell, Louise Melson and Nema Childers; 2 brothers, Hubert Smith and Johnny Smith.
