IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Mary Jane
Moloney
February 23, 1920 – February 9, 2026
Mary Jane (Anderson) Moloney, age 105, passed away peacefully on Monday, February 9, 2026, at Jackson-Madison Hospital in Jackson, Tennessee. She was born on February 23, 1920, in Chicago, Illinois, to Dick Polk Anderson and Ethel Maude (Gregg) Anderson.
She was married to William J. Moloney, who preceded her in death. She was the mother of eight children, one of whom, William Vincent, also preceded her in death. She lived to see all of her remaining children grow, prosper, and reach their 60s and beyond.
Mary Jane spent the first half of her life in Chicago and, for the past 45 years, divided her time between Chicago and her home in Henderson, Tennessee. She worked many jobs, most notably as an information operator for the Greyhound Bus Company. Her most important role, however, was as a devoted mother to her eight children, and as a grandmother and great-grandmother to many.
It is hard to mourn a woman who lived such a long, full, and productive life. Instead, her family invites all who knew and loved her to celebrate her life.
She is survived by four sons, Timothy Moloney (April) of Illinois, Terence Moloney of Chicago, Patrick Moloney (Delia) and Richard Moloney both of Illinois; three daughters, Mary Kay Moloney of Henderson, Gerri Moloney of Illinois and Maureen Fowler (Danny) of Henderson; six grandchildren, Brooke Littva, Jill Quinn (Kevin), Danielle and Rachel Littva, Megan Fowler and Riley Moloney; and six great grandchildren, Kyle Johnson, Fredrick Quinn, Gabriel Cohn, Scamus Quinn, Harper and Audrey Smith.
