Mary "Pat" Thompson Jackson

Mary Margarine "Pat" Thompson Jackson, of Iron City, TN, passed away at her home on October 28, 2025, at the age of 86. She was born on March 14, 1939, in Collinwood, TN, she was the daughter of the late Herman and Sarah Ruth Brewer Thompson.

Pat's journey through life was highlighted by her unwavering love for family and her joyful spirit. She found true happiness when she married William "Billy" Jackson on April 8, 1974, a love story that continued to inspire those around them until his passing on October 25, 2012. For two decades, Pat dedicated herself as the site manager for the Collinwood Senior Citizens until her retirement.

As a devoted follower, she was a member of Butler Grove Freewill Baptist Church. Her unwavering commitment to her beliefs and her love for her church family were evident in all that she did.

Her passions were as vibrant as her personality—she was an Elvis enthusiast, loved immersing herself in word searches, and eagerly tuned in to her favorite singing competition shows. Pat cherished the joy of traveling with Billy, particularly relishing trips to the mountains, where nature mirrored her adventurous spirit. Most importantly, she treasured the moments spent with her family and her dog, Smokey, creating memories that will forever be etched in their hearts.

Pat's legacy is one of grace, love, and commitment to her community and family. She will be deeply missed but fondly remembered by all whose lives she touched.

She is survived by her children, Donna Blalock (Kevin), Mike Rushing (Linda), Kim Keeton (Jerry), and Chris Jackson (Beth); brothers, Dennis Thompson (Becky), and Travis Thompson (Judith); sisters, Martha Pulley, and Pam Caperton (Tim); grandchildren, Andy (Colton), Sherri, Allison (Darren), Tiffany (Jordan), Erin (Daniel), Sarah (Kiefer), Lucas (Jonathan), Dalton, Brandi (Tommy), and C.J. (Rylee); and great grandchildren, Taylor, Katelyn, Lane, Brylee, Aly, Sam, Jessie, Silas, Addilynn, Peyton, Kymbree, Kambria, Decklyn, Keaston, Ethan, Alaina, and Piper.

In addition to her husband and parents, Pat was preceded in death by her son, Junior Jackson; brother, H.C. Thompson; granddaughters, Tina Daniel, and Bronica Jackson; and great granddaughter, Kaylee Hunt.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 29, 2025 from 5:00 pm until 9:00 pm and on Thursday, October 30, 2025 from 11:00 am until 3:00 pm service time at Shackelford Funeral Directors in Collinwood, TN.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, October 30, 2025 at 3:00 pm at Shackelford Funeral Directors in Collinwood, TN with Brant Sanders officiating. Burial will follow in Butler Grove Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be C.J. Jackson, Kiefer Hunt, Lucas Littrell-Garlit, Daniel Caperton, Darren Pounders, Jordan Scogin, Andy Blalock, and Taylor Daniel.
