Bells, TN: Mary Lynn Heflin Patterson age 72 passed away November 26, 2020 at Bells Nursing Home.
She was born March 31, 1948 in Prospect, AL the daughter of the late L.B. and Ruby L. Weaver Heflin. She grew up in Chester County in the Montezuma Community and attended Chester County High School. She married Jerry Patterson in 1963, he passed away in 2007.
She did factory work, at Kilgore, Brown Shoe, Bemis Cotton Mill and then TBDN in Jackson for twenty years, retiring in February of 2014. She was a hard worker and never sat still.
She loved cooking, baking, gardening, reading and her pets. She was a member of the Cave Springs Missionary Baptist Church and was very active in her church for as long as she was physically able.
Mrs. Patterson is survived by a son, Brent Patterson (Regina) of Savannah; and a daughter, Paula Lewis (Bill) of Webster, TX; seven grandchildren, Wesley Trout, Kaitlyn Lewis, Grant Lewis, Sarah Eskew, Brianna Castro, John Patterson and Alex Patterson; four great grandchildren, Louis Moncada, Mateo Castro, Ellie Trout, and Kay Anna Eskew; a brother, Bobby Heflin (Connie) of Henderson and a sister, Ann Stickles of Henderson.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and a brother, Leo Heflin.
Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Wednesday, at Shackelford Funeral Directors - East Main Chapel with Bro. Ronnie Geary officiating. Burial will follow in Cave Springs Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at East Main 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Tuesday.
