Mary M. Plunk

Mary M. Plunk was born June 18, 1935 in McNairy County, TN the daughter of the late John and Margarett Gage Allison.

She was united in marriage to Billy Carlton Plunk on June 10, 1951. Mr. Plunk preceded her in death on July 13, 1962, following 11 years of marriage.

Mrs. Plunk was employed as a production worker in the garment industry for many years, working for Garan Manufacturing and later retiring from Jetrick's. She enjoyed raising vegetables and flowers in her garden, sewing, and quilting.

Mrs. Plunk departed this life on October 29, 2018 in Selmer, Tennessee at the age of 83 Years, 4 Months, 11 Days. She is survived by a daughter, Patsy Lipford and husband Danny of Bethel Springs, TN; a son, James B. Plunk of Bethel Springs, TN; two grandchildren, Will Plunk and Jennifer Plunk; two great grandchildren, Waylon Graham Plunk and Jessi Eaves; three sisters: Mable Jones and husband John of Marietta, GA, Dorothy Ryan of AR, and Francis Massengill and husband Jerry of Middleton, TN; a daughter-in-law, Bonnie Plunk of Columbus, GA; a brother-in-law, Bob Bailey of St. Charles, MO; and many extended family and friends.

In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Plunk was preceded in death by a son, Robert Lee Plunk; a sister, Faye Bailey; and four brothers: Wayne Allison, Titus Ray Allison, Jimmy Allison, and Johnny Neal Allison.
