Mary Ethel Ayers Sherrill

Mrs. Mary Ethel Ayers Sherrill was born December 26, 1932 in Wayne County , TN to the union of the late George Claude and Goldie Pearl Holt Ayers.She was united in marriage to John Thomas Sherrill on June 1, 1963. Mr. Sherrill preceded her in death on December 4, 1999.She was a Home Maker and can be remembered by her family as loving to work in her flower gardens. When she was able, she attended Scotts Chapel Church. Mrs. Sherrill departed this life on December 23, 2020 in Florence, Alabama making her stay in this life some 87 Years, 11 Months and 27 Days.

She is survived by a son, Thomas Sherrill and wife Lisa of Cypress Inn, TN; a daughter, Louise Parrish and husband William of Florence, AL; a sister, Margaret Johnson of Lutts, TN; 3 Grandchildren, 2 Great Grandchildren, 1 Great Great Grandchild and a host of loving nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Sherrill was preceded in death by three brothers, Noah, Arlie and George Ayers and a grandson Jeremy Bates.

Visitation will be held on Sunday December 27, 2020 from 5:00 until 8:00 PM and again on Monday December 28, 2020 from 10:00 AM until 12:30 PM

A Graveside Service will be held on Monday December 28, 2020 at 1 pm at the Cloverdale Church of Christ Cemetery in Florence, Alabama with Tim Hanback officiating. Shackelford Funeral Directors Assisting.
