Mary Louise Slone

Mary Louise (Mary Lou) Mullins Patterson Slone of Waynesboro, TN departed this life on Sunday, February 12, 2017 in Lecanto, FL at 71 years of age. She was born August 27, 1945 in Virginia to the late James Henry and Virginia Evelyn Rife Mullins. She had worked as a bank teller and as a CNA. Survivors include her husband, Orville Ray Slone of Waynesboro, TN; sons, Gregory Short of Hickory, NC and Derek Patterson of Lake City, FL; daughter, Elisa Wood of Port St. Lucy, FL; grandchildren, Andrew, Shayla, Alex, Lisa, Lucas, Tyler, Kadence, Salem, Joey, Christopher, Canaan and Curtis; sister, Linda Gomez of Chicago, IL; brother, Larry Rife of Raynell, WV. Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Ruby Mullins Doty.

Services will be Friday, February 17, 2017 at 3 pm at Shackelford Funeral Directors chapel, Waynesboro, TN with Robert Slone officiating. Burial will be in memorial Gardens, Waynesboro, TN with Shackelford Funeral Directors, Wayne County, directing. Visitation will be from 1 pm to service at the funeral home.
