Mrs. Stricklin died Saturday morning, January 29, 2011 at North Logan Hospital in Paris, Arkansas.
The widow of Billie Joe Stricklin, who died October 11, 2001 after 44 years of marriage, she was a homemaker. Mrs. Stricklin was born May 13, 1935 in Omaha, AR to the late Garland Hawkins and Velva Thomas Hawkins. She was a long-time resident of St. Louis, Missouri prior to moving to Middleton, where she lived from 1985 to 2005. Mrs. Stricklin had lived in Clarksville, AR since 2005.
She is survived by a daughter and her husband, Debbie Stephens and Tony of O'Fallon, MO; a son, Donald Stricklin of Champagne, IL; a brother and his wife, Gary Hawkins and Bonnie of Clarksville, AR; three grandchildren, Aaron Stricklin, Jeremy and Jeff Schmidt; and two great grandchildren, Andrew and Shelby Schmidt; one niece, Jeannie Coughlin of Jackson; and two nephews, Gary Scott Hawkins and David Hawkins, both of Arkansas. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a grandson, Ryan Stricklin.
