Mrs. Tigner passed away Sunday evening, July 31, 2011 at her home in Hornsby.
The widow of Samuel Larnce "Jake" Tigner, who died April 6, 2010 after 66 years of marriage, she was a homemaker. Mrs. Tigner was born January 20, 1925 in McNairy County to the late Andrew Jackson Huckabee and Sylvia Kathleen Johnson Huckabee. She was a member of Hornsby Baptist Church.
She is survived by two sons, Gilbert Tigner of Elizabethton and Billy Tigner of Hornsby; a daughter, Janette Tigner of Hornsby; four sisters, Ann Burton and Norma Browder, both of Selmer, Helen Lindsey of Halstead, PA and Kathleen Lindsey of Roebuck, SC; three brothers, Buddy Huckabee of Selmer, Billy Joe Huckabee of Ogdon, UT and James Huckabee of St. Charles, MO; two grandchildren, Andrew and Aaron Tigner; and three great grandchildren, Kayla Hope, Lily Faith and Madison Paige Tigner. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Woodrow, Wayne and Robert Huckabee.
