Mary L. White

Mary L. Burks White was born March 15, 1921 in McNairy County, Tennessee the daughter of the late Edgar and Bonnie Elam Capooth.She was first united in marriage to L. G. Burks, who preceded her in death in 1977. She was later united in marriage to Henry White, who also preceded her in death in 2001. Mrs. White was the owner and operator of Burks Cafe in Michie, TN, and was Baptist in her belief. Mrs. White departed this life on November 14, 2009 in Corinth, Mississippi at the age of 88 Years, 7 Months, 30 Days. She is survived by three daughters: Betty Foster of Michie, TN, Peggy Spencer of Corinth, MS, and Teretha Wallace and husband Mike of Corinth, MS; an adopted son, Steve English of Michie, TN; 6 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Mrs. White was preceded in death by three brothers: Junior Capooth, Prentis Capooth, and Paul Capooth.
