Mary Jane Wilds

Mary Jane Abernathy Wilds was born May 20, 1944 in McNairy County, Tennessee the daughter of the late Will Terry and Mary Lucille Purser Abernathy.Miss Wilds was a retired Honors English teacher at McNairy Central High School where she taught for over 20 years. She was a member of the First Christian Church in Selmer, Tennessee. She was very active in her church where she served as a choir director.Miss Wilds departed this life on April 22, 2008 in Selmer, Tennessee at the age of 63 Years, 11 Months, 2 Days. She is survived by a daughter, Mary Cille (Wilds) Heehs and husband Chris of Memphis, TN; a son, Lee Wilds; a brother, Terry Abernathy of Selmer, TN; two grandchildren, Addie Virginia Heehs, Trenton Joseph Heehs; and an aunt, Mary Bess Abernathy of Selmer, TN.
