Mary Lib Wilkerson

Mary Lib Wilkersonwas born in Clifton, Tennessee on January 27, 1922 the daughter of the late James Whitten and Sina Mitchell Wilbanks Duncan.On December 1, 1946 she was united in marriage to Howard Wilkerson, who preceded her in death on May 3, 1982. After her graduation from high school, she taught at the one room school house in the Swift Community. Mrs. Wilkerson later became a homemaker and was a member of Hopewell Baptist Church. She departed this life on April 4, 2007 at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital in Jackson, Tennessee at the age of 85 years, 2 months and 8 days.Mrs. Wilkerson is survived by her son, Ronnie D. Wilkerson and his wife, Ramona, of Savannah, Tennessee; three grandchildren: Dr. Stacy Wilkerson, Wes Wilkerson and Shannon Taylor; six great-grandchildren: Alex, Adam and Abram Wilkerson and Mary Mallette, Ben and Jack Taylor; and three sisters: Ruth Briley of Blytheville, Arkansas, Patsy Caperton of Savannah, Tennessee and Polly Cloud and her husband, Lowell, of Savannah, Tennessee.In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a brother, Harry G. Duncan, Sr.
