Marylene Helton Kopp was born December 30, 1926 in McNairy County, TN the daughter of the late Alfred and Faye Ella Christopher Davis.
She was united in marriage to James Robert Helton on March 23, 1946. Mr. Helton preceded her on April 24, 1975. She married William Kopp on July 10, 1978 and he preceded her on November 7, 1990. Both husbands served in the United States Army, one in World War II and the other in the Korean War.
Mrs. Kopp was a Inspector for Garan Manufacturing in Adamsville, TN. She was a member of the Mount Vinson Methodist Church in Stantonville, Tennessee. She loved being at home and never enjoyed traveling. She quilted with her sisters, loved her flowers, and kept her mind busy with word search puzzle books. She was affectionately known as "Nanny" by her grandchildren, family and friends. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Mrs. Kopp departed this life on November 26, 2016 in Lexington, Tennessee at the age of 89 Years, 10 Months, 27 Days. She is survived by a daughter, Doris Rossman of Henderson, TN; a son, Dell Helton and wife Cynthia of Lexington, TN; four sisters, Margaret Scott of Selmer (Lawton Community), TN, Betty Duck of Morris Chapel, TN, Shelby Kennedy of Ramer, TN, and Peggy Lard of Adamsville, TN; three grandchildren, Alena Lawson and husband Anthony, Becky Moore, Blake Helton and wife Margo; six great grandchildren, Tasia Crocker, Sydney Moore, Joseph Helton, Paige Helton, Gracie Moore, Jazmine Lawson; special family, Janet Tuberville, Nadine Tedford, and Kaye Inman; and a host of family and friends.
In addition to her parents and husbands, Mrs. Kopp was preceded in death by two sisters, Dorothy Tedford, Virginia Ruth Davis; two brothers, William Jamie Davis, Richard Earl Davis; a grandchild, Melissa Renee Moore.
