Mattie Ruth Brewer

Mattie Ruth Brewer was born November 21, 1915 in McNairy County, TN the daughter of the late Howard and Eunice Greer Tanner. She was united in marriage to William Charles Brewer on January 1, 1934. Mr. Brewer preceded her in death on July 19, 1998.

She had worked many years for Garan in Adamsville. She was a faithful member of the First United Methodist Church in Adamsville. Not only did she play basketball in school, Mattie enjoyed watching it. She also enjoyed traveling and gospel music. Mattie loved her church, friends and family very much.

Mrs. Brewer departed this life on June 2, 2020 in Adamsville, Tennessee at the age of 104 Years, 6 Months, 12 Days.

She is survived by a son, Randall Brewer and wife Vickie; two daughters-in-law, Pili Brewer and Jeanne Carnes; three grandchildren: Robert Brewer and wife Tara, Stacey Tyler and husband Todd, David Brewer and wife Marsha; three great grandchildren: Hayley Beth Brewer, Billy Brewer, Alec Brewer; a grt-grt-grandchild, Hayden Brewer; and a host of other relatives and friends.

In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Brewer was preceded in death by two sons, Billy and Tommy Brewer; two grandchildren, Richard and Angelia Brewer.
