Mattie Frances Brewer

Mattie Frances Bromley Brewer was born July 25, 1918 in Waynesboro, Tennessee, the daughter of the late Jasper Mack Harvey and Mary Jo Hays Bromley. She was united in marriage to Charles Glenn Brewer on June 16, 1936 and he preceded her in death on August 16, 1996.



Mrs. Brewer was a retired banker at the Bank of Waynesboro, Bank of Collinwood branch and was currently a bank director with the Bank of Waynesboro. She was a member of the Collinwood Methodist Church in Collinwood, Tennessee.



Mrs. Brewer departed this life on Sunday, August 9, 2009 at Mitchell-Hollingsworth Nursing Annex in Florence, Alabama at the age of 91 Years, 15 Days.



She is survived by a son, Jasper C Brewer and wife, Carolyn of Collinwood, TN; grandsons, Jay Charles Brewer and wife, Susan and David Mack Brewer and wife, Angie; great-grandchildren, Jaydee Ann Brewer, Jake Charles Brewer, David Mack Brewer Jr., Devin Robert Brewer; step-great-grandchildren, Sada Lowery, Jada Jackson.



In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Brewer was preceded in death by a son, Joe Mack Brewer; a brother, Herschel Bromley.



Services will be held on Wednesday, August 12, 2009 at 1:00 PM at Shackelford Funeral Home Chapel in Collinwood, Tennessee, with Jim Arrington officiating. Burial will be in the McGlamery Cemetery at Collinwood, Tennessee with Shackelford Funeral Directors of Wayne County directing.



Pallbearers will be Jerry Whitten, Ralph Rich, Darrell Holt, Bill Thrasher,Harold Melson, and Cleo Reed.
